South west law firm steps into Christmas with staff moves and Santa Dash

THREE moves for change have taken place this month at one of Dorset and Somerset’s most established law firms

Geoffrey Godwin, a long-standing private client solicitor at Dyne Drewett LLP has stepped down as a partner.

The specialist in residential, commercial and agricultural property law joined the firm in 1961, formerly Dyne Hughes and Archer.   He was articled to the then senior partner Digby Meller and continues to work from the Sherborne office, now acting as a consultant.

Also this month, experienced commercial litigator John James returns to Dyne Drewett’s Sherborne office as a senior solicitor.

The firm has also partnered with the Yeovil Town Road Running Club to sponsor this year’s Santa Dash for St Margaret’s Hospice.   The four kilometre event will take place on 12th December through Yeovil Country Park and over Wyndham Hill; all competitors will be dressed as Father Christmas.

Dyne Drewett’s residential property specialist Martin Chaffey, will be race director on the day.

Competitors can run or walk the event and the first 100 adult runners to enter will receive a free Santa suit.   Children who take part get a free Santa hat.  Entry fee is £12 (£10 for England affiliated athletes); £3 for children.

Online entry forms and further information about the Santa Dash can be accessed via dynedrewett.com and the Running Club’s website yeoviltownrrc.com.  Alternatively, St Margaret’s Hospice can be contacted about the event on 01935 709480.
