Press release / Local talent invited to tune into Frome TV channel

Press release issued for Somerset online TV channel, Frome TV

Frome TV is inviting people with artistic or creative flair to visit its studio during the festival.

The team behind the town’s community channel will be filming performances throughout Frome Festival and is keen to discover further talent lying behind closed doors.

“Whether you have a painting to show, a song to perform, an instrument to play, or other creative ability you would like us to film, please get in touch” commented Jade Thomas, cofounder of Frome TV.

From 9th to 17th July, the channel will take a temporary festival residence at the Round Tower, Black Swan Arts. The team will be filming interviews and live acts, then editing them in the same studio; the resulting footage will be posted online at frome.tv.

Those interested in being featured during the festival can visit the Round Tower studio, email hello@frome.tv, tweet @FromeTV or get in touch via Facebook.com/frometv.

Frome TV has a team of 21 volunteers and a library of 80 films produced locally. The online channel’s founders Jade and Ed Thomas created the channel last December to benefit the town’s creative scene and support its independent traders.

The channel represents a wide range of local interests, including events, music, news, drama, food, art, fashion and people. There are plans to add sport, business and youth culture to the growing film library.
