Dyne Drewett LLP Positions Firm for Increased Business Confidence

At a time when confidence appears to be increasing, Dyne Drewett has made significant measures to help strengthen business in the South West

The Somerset and Dorset law firm has made several appointments to its commercial team this year and the latest sees the introduction of a City corporate law specialist.

Richard James has extensive experience in advising businesses and individuals on commercial transactions.

Mr James offers a wealth of advice for businesses, providing legal advice and support for mergers and acquisitions; reorganisations; joint ventures; private equity and corporate finance; franchising (for franchisee and franchisor); start up advice and exit strategies.

He is based in the firm’s Shepton Mallet office and joins Dyne Drewett from London firm Watson, Farley & Williams LLP.

His credentials include advising small businesses, entrepreneurs and household names such as Alliance Unichem (now Alliance Boots), Fujifilm, Photo-me International Plc and Clarks shoes.

Mr James will speak at Get your business in shape for 2010: the December Mendip Business Breakfast hosted by Dyne Drewett, Old Mill accountants and NatWest. This will take place on Wednesday 2nd December at the Bath & West Showground.

His presentation will consider the impact of the new Companies Act 2006 on small and medium sized businesses, and how best to take advantage of this landmark piece of extensive company legislation.

“It’s an important year for the firm, we have made significant changes to reflect our clients’ ever increasing needs for practical, up to date advice, information and assistance” commented managing partner David Morgan.

“Legal matters have become more and more complex for business, so it’s important to seek specialised advice.  Dyne Drewett’s reputation is thanks entirely to the legal minds it attracts.  We are proud to offer the strongest level of legal service yet and our change to an LLP organisation in October reflects our stature as a leading legal practice in Dorset and Somerset.”

Dyne Drewett LLP has offices in Somerset and Dorset and provides a full range of legal services to both private and commercial clients.  To find out more about the December business seminar or discuss your legal requirements with Richard James, please call the Shepton Mallet office on 01749 342323 or email rjames@dynedrewett.com
