Dyne Drewett and Air Ambulance launch legacy-giving campaign

South West law firm Dyne Drewett has partnered with the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance on a new legacy-giving campaign to help raise awareness of leaving a gift to the charity when making a Will

To help the charity generate more funding, Rebecca Beresford and Rory McFarlane from the law firm’s Wills, trust and probate team have worked with one of the air ambulance’s fundraisers Chris James, to produce an eye-catching and informative leaflet detailing how people can leave a legacy in their will to help support the charity.

“Leaving a legacy to the Air Ambulance is becoming more popular so we often get enquiries of this nature,” said Chris James.

“This leaflet answers all the questions and Dyne Drewett’s expertise simplifies the process for the benefactor. We are extremely grateful to Dyne Drewett for their generous support in producing this leaflet for us.”

“We’re delighted to have been able to support the charity with this initiative.  The charity has to raise an incredible amount of money to continue providing the service it does and therefore we hope that this legacy-giving campaign will help to really boost donations” commented Dyne Drewett’s managing partner, David Morgan.

The new legacy leaflet is available to pick up, with other Air Ambulance literature, in numerous locations and events across Somerset and Dorset. It can also be downloaded from Dyne Drewett’s website at www.dynedrewett.com

The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was launched in March 2000 and with an average of 3-4 missions a day and over 5,000 missions to date, continues to provide a key emergency service across the two counties.

The helicopter costs in excess of £3,500 per day to run, is crewed by a pilot and two paramedics and is capable of carrying two stretcher patients, plus a third sitting passenger. It flies comfortably at 150 mph and can be anywhere in the two counties within 19 minutes of receiving the emergency call, making it ideal when time is critical in life-threatening situations.
