Press release / Agriculture authority joins Dyne Drewett

Dyne Drewett has this month appointed specialist consultant solicitor Richard Pinney to join the firm’s well-established agriculture team

Based in the law firm’s Sherborne office, Richard joins the firm from the position of partner at Poole and Co LLP.

Richard’s farming and equestrian background makes him highly skilled in dealing with rural estates and agricultural businesses.  His expertise includes handling residential and rural property transactions, farm business tenancies and all aspects of agriculture from simple licences to complex tax planning and succession issues.

“He brings demonstrated prowess, not only in a legal capacity, but also in his commitment to and involvement with the agricultural and rural community” commented David Morgan, managing partner of Dyne Drewett.

“The firm will gain valuable insight from his breadth of experience, which is truly testament to the calibre of people the firm is able to attract.”

A member of the Agricultural Law Association; and the Country Land and Business Association, Richard read Agriculture at London University before serving as a regular officer in the cavalry.   He then settled back in his home county of Dorset as a lawyer, training with Battens and then moving with Poole & Co following the split of the two firms.  He became a partner at Poole & Co in 2006.

When not in the office Richard is often out with the Cattistock or Blackmore Vale Hunt with his children, who are both at School in Sherborne.  All his family ride, enjoy skiing and play tennis.

An established firm with offices across Somerset and Dorset, Dyne Drewett provides a full range of legal services to both private and commercial clients. To discuss your legal requirements with Richard Pinney, please call the Sherborne office on 01935 813 691 or email rpinney@dynedrewett.com
